About this card

Japanese has a word for the winner of a tournament and a word for the runner up, and none for third, so this certificate describes instead: it records its holder as a third place prizewinner. Reaching that podium meant topping a group of eight in the qualifying round, since only one player from each group went through. Exeggutor is on the card because the junior half of Challenge Road played under the name Tropical Mega Battle, while the older half played the same summer for a black card with Mewtwo on it. The foil behind it has gone copper.
