About this card
Nobody has ever published the address. Invited players were bussed there from a Tokyo hotel, and at nine in the morning the room went dark while a screen called them down a staircase one at a time, name and photograph on show. The senior national final of August 1999 took the name Secret Super Battle for that reason, and this card was the invitation to it. Hideki Kazama fills the window with black, and the Mewtwo standing in it is a bare silhouette, speckled with holographic confetti and given no features at all.
