The 10 most expensive Pokémon cards of Scarlet & Violet (Chase Cards)

The first Scarlet & Violet set redraws the card itself: silver replaces the yellow border used outside Japan, a printed set code stands in for the old expansion symbol, the Item or Supporter tag sits in the top left corner so a player can see it while holding a hand, and Pokémon Tool is promoted from a kind of Item to a Trainer class of its own. The ex suffix returns in lower case, several of those Pokémon carrying a Tera mark that transposes the Terastal mechanic of the Paldea games to the card game. Koraidon ex and Miraidon ex head the March 2023 release, assembled from five Japanese products and holding 258 cards in total.
