About this card
No Scyther evolution existed in the card game when this was printed, yet Shadow Images ends when Rocket's Scyther takes damage, is Benched or is evolved. The wording stayed in every print run and was never resolved: neither of the two later Rocket's Scizor cards can legally evolve from it. The art catches Scyther in mid-flight, blades forward, over a dark holo field. In the corner where the Gym Leader cards carry a portrait on a gym badge, this one seats a Team Rocket grunt in a peaked cap on a gold emblem.
